Corsair Value Select 2GB 400 MHz DDR RAM = Rs. 11500
Asus A8N-SLI Premium Motherboard (Socket 939) = Rs. 10500
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Processor (Socket 939, Venice, 90nm, L2 Cache: 512 KB) ADA3200BPBOX = Rs. 8000

Total = Rs. 30,000.

Er..Udit, he has mentioned that he wants to use an AGP card. So how would that fit on the A8N-SLI ?

@Nervz, do u own the card or are u going to purchase it now ? As for the processor, get the 3200+ Venice as Udit suggested. As for the board, getting an AGP based board for Skt. 939 is pretty difficult now. Try to get the MSI Neo 2 Platinum or the ASUS A8V Deluxe which should cost u around 6~7 grand. As for the RAM, get the TwinMOS 1GB sticks which would cost u abt 5K each.

BTW, why do u need 2GB of RAM ?

Ok, so then buy 512*4 sticks..

you have 2 different Office and Gaming rigs i guess?...

So you can run 512*2 in each in Dual Channel.

Nothing more can be said. Everything summarised.

Asus A8V / MSI Neo 2

AMD 3200+ / 3000+

Corsair Value Select Dual Channel Packs 512*2 (two of these)

Get Transcend if you cant find Corsair. Try to get Samsung UCC Chips on the Transcend. Dont get the Hynix Chip ones.. DONT. :).

I Wouldnt buy a corsair value select. A twinmos or Transcend would be a better choice mild ocing.

^^Depends on the IC aces. True that corsair generally uses bargain basement ICs on valueselect, however the last few months has seen UCCC ICs on valueselect. Those should clock quite well. But still doesnt justify the 3K premium over twinmos.
