Someone just Photoshop some win7 logos in the backgrounds of our TE meet photos and send it to them. Free ka DVD :p

There is no cult following for Win 7. Look at our Dark Star, how crazy he becomes when you speak of Linux or Open Source. Sadly MS doesnt have such people (I think), so these launch parties will be FAIL

Yes, you will get a Windows 7 copy if you are selected for hosting the party. Do note that if you are minor, you will need permission of your parents. And you will have to ensure food / drinks for your guests.

This is one of those rare occasions where being in Mumbai doesn't help. Hundreds of good techies have applied and so have a lot of Microsoft employees here. Chances of us getting a chance to host the party looks really slim :(
I think the verdict comes out tonight.

maybe i should have posted in my application that should i not be selected, ill distribute copies of linux for free :rofl:

I'm considering calling TE members but first I'll have to look at logistics of how I can make it happen.

I'll read the FAQs tomorrow to confirm what I have to do and what stuff they suggest then plan it out completely before deciding.

Could other TE-ites from Mumbai who got selected get in touch with me?

Yaaaaaayz my party got approved. Cant invite all of you, unless I get a free location from someone.
