Packing was good they put HDD box in another carton and put Airbags in one side to make it fit also HDD box was sealed.

I have paid custom + octroi in advance it cost me $22 something.

only few items will be shipped internationally by amazon directly. for other items you have to use a shipping forwarding service like Aramex shopnship etc.

Thanks man. Anyways its too cumbersome to ship through 3rd party after paying everything. I just don't like the idea. Anyways thanks again.

Seriously? If you don't like the idea why even bother asking people to help you with a detailed explanation?

I didn't know I have to do so many things like proxy setups and the like, to ship to India. I thought it was very easy like paying with my card and the 3rd party guy ships to me directly.

Proxy was just a one off case for the Nexus 4. Otherwise people buy directly on the website and get it shipped to the freight forwarder who then delivers it to your home. So instead of one payment there are two - one to the actual merchant and the other to the freight forwarder.

Alternatively, there are service providers like ishopinternational who do everything for you - purchase, ship, customs and deliver to home - all for one consolidated payment that you can do using your credit card or bank account.
