What are the bugs?

-Adding new widgets to home screen(Crashes the Os)

-Im doesn't work(All accounts)

-New Google App doesn't work

- Facebook App doesn't work

-Except contancts you cannot sync any other data with kies.

-When u try to switch off the handset the os crashes(Imp. Bug to be fixed by Samsung)

What is working?

Homescreen Fully Functional including all the widgets.

Adding folders and Shortcuts to apps or games working on the homescreen

Dolphin Browser is updated to ver. 3.0 alongwith fully functional download manager.

Emails fully functional.

Music Player Fully functional

Navigation Working sometimes laggy

New slide show effects in Gallery

Camera working

Java Apllications Working

Music Hub Fully functional(Not tried to buy any song though)

Social Hub fully working (Feeds, emails, Messages)

Chat On working

Samsung Apps Working

Im working (All accounts)

Push Notifications working

Google Application working

Youtube fully functional(HQ & NQ videos both working)

Video Player working with subtitles

Voice Commands working

Facebook & Twitter Application working|(New interface for both)

Phone switch Off bug has been fixed(Previous versions the phone was crashing)

Kies now recognizing the firmware version(Was not working in the previous version)

Contact Syncing works through kies

Whats not working?

Still no sign of inbuilt live wallpapers

Download manager still cannot download all the file formats(Still restricted to specific file formats)

Video Player still not supporting .flv files

application installation not working through kies

Application Uninstall is still unstable, when done the phone goes in to the debug mode

Rotation still lags sometimes

When camera is rotated the delay of rotation is high.

After flashing things to do:

Set debug level to low.. And no more crashes.. IM work flawlessly then... To enable low priority you only need to dial * # 33 284 * # and then restart your phone.

If you want to remove idle home screens initially 5 screens will be there.. If you want to remove it Just un zoom it(Reverse of zoooming ) Now you can delete the idle screens.

Now comes the main thing... To get ur contacts from ur PC.... Connect to kies first if it detects then no prob.. If it doesn't then...Goto > Settings> Connectivity> USB Utilities> KIes Installer> Then connect ur fone to PC... Automatically Drivers will be installed and Kies will detect ur fone...

For Indian Airtel users to recieve Internet Settings.. Just SMS MO to 52567.

For the first time when charging the mobile Key in *#0228# and charge till the first 2 parameters reaches 100%.

I successful download those first link files and they need password for unrar and it is very urgent that i need to update it soon asap and any one found the password :(
 
^^ the password probably is "samfirmware.com" would recommend you downloading it from the samfirmware site if you need the latest updates on these firmwares!
 
Samsung launches bada 2.0, releases the SDK to the public
Although Samsung had announced bada 2.0 back in February during MWC 2011, it took them quite a long time to release it. But it seems Samsung has not forgotten about its little pet project as today we got news of Samsung making bada 2.0 live and also releasing the SDK to anyone willing to visit their website, register and download the 368KB file

4Q what does that mean, it was supposed to be released in September, we are already halfway through September, it's like it is going to be released in October, Yay yay yay, then ohhh no it's going to be released in Decemeber, another yay yay yay... yawn...
 
hi all... just a quick question, i upgraded the firmware on my wave 1 to DDkh1 but my camera isn't working, i.e i can't click pic easily... it's too hard to use the autofocus, all i can do is to hard press the camera button to click a pic, but sometimes the clarity won't be good...

now i heard the we can upgrade the firmware manually... i saw a tutorial, just wanted to know whether i should go with it or not???

please reply guys...

Am sick of my Wave 8500. Worst phone EVER ! No apps even after two years !! Delayed updates. Google and Apple should sue sammy for copying BADA too.
 
Q4 is also over. Thats enough for me now. Enough waiting from samsung to release the official firmware. Now have decided to install one of the europe ones.

Thinking of flashing with Europe firmwares for bada 2.0 from samfirmware site.

I am thinking to install from these 2 options...

1. KL6 firmware

S8500XXKL6 with SHP / Polaris / Java icons on desktop

2. KK7 firmware

FoSaMobi :Update KK7 version : Polaris Office, Widget Facebook and Twitter, Themes...

can someone advice which one to go with? And will there be any problem with network connecting as the countries specified for this firmware are for Europe only??

or SHOULD I STILL WAIT??

Although i don't used Bada phone for now... while i was using it i had flashed it with the European firmware from samfirmware site. Just follow the usual stuff while flashing. Trust me, waiting ain't going to be fruitful with Samsung. Patience will start to take it toll into frustration...

Just my 2 cents.. :)
