Yes the chipset bug has been fixed... But the fixed chipset motherboards have'nt launched yet... wait till march... :)

if you are ready to upgrade your psu to atleast corsair 550vx-5k u can go for

i5 760 is 1156 and the motherboard is X58 1366. It won't work, at all.

Look at P55 based options.

  • Grab i5 2500k + MSI P67A-GD55(B3 revision) from SMC International
  • For Seasonic PSU contact TheITWares to check availability but if u dont find it anywhere go ahead and buy VX550... And yeah one thing more sell ur VX450 u may b able to fetch 2.8 to 3k
  • If u have some more money to spend say 1.2k then i wud advise u to buy HD6950 2GB ~ 16.2k... By doing this u wud b able to get HD6970 for 16.2k coz HD6950 2GB unlocks into HD6970... :)... ^^when bulldozer cpus wud officially launch in june... Then u wud get to see some official reviews... But if u dont wanna wait till june then go ahead and buy what i suggested... And btw y do u wanna upgrade ur monitor later when u can upgrade now? U have a pretty decent budget

A gigabyte mobo wid the same features wud cost u 12.5k are you ok wid it? And are u sure u dont wanna buy a monitor now coz it really doesn't make sense...

I think you are right....will buy monitor too. Everything has been decided except gpu (confused between gtx 560 ti twin frozer and ati 6950 1gb) and please suggest Cooler master cabinet in range of 5k.

are u ready to extend ur budget? if yes then buy CM 690 ~ 4.3k

See GTX560 Twin Frozr II Performs like HD6950 1GB so if u go wid either of them u'd b making a good choice...

Wud like to share some advantages and Disadvantages of these GPUs

HD6950:

Advantages:

1. Selling for 14.8k

2. Performs Slightly better than GTX560

3. Consumes less power than GTX560

Disadvantages:

1. Its a huge 11inch card

2. And gets very hot... on load it reaches 80c

GTX560:

Advantages:

1. Small in size as compared to HD6950

2. doesn't get as hot as HD6950 on full load

3. consumes less power in idle mode

Disadvantages:

1. Selling for 15.4k here in india which i think is more shud sell for around 14.5 to 15k

2. Consumes more power on full load as compared to HD6950
