My i-7 Gaming Rig :)

the 2.3k premium is really worth for that board... as its a full ATX motherboard... has right angled Sata ports... better layout... CFX and SLI support... internal USB3 header... more SATA ports etc etc...
I didnt argue with the VFM or premium in the overall scenario but in OPs case alone!!

IMO expect the better layout nothing else justifies 2.3k from OPs perspective (from his initial post. He wanted a Elite 310 :p)

I rest my case here. Good night :)

Guys ive updated my first post (gaming rig) as per ur recommendation, pls go throught dat once again.

But m still confused over the mobi. Please recommend an LGA-1155 socket board which has the following :

(a) SATA III, (b) USB 3 : 2 ports, (c) HDMI/DVI/D-LED2 connectivity, (d) PCI Express x 16 : atleast 2 slots, (e) SLI and Crossfire

Please choose only from the following brands : ASUS, Gygabite, MSI

Also please recommend a PSU, i mean ive selected one from corsair but not sure about the wattage (600 or 700), i guess 600 is more than enuff but please do recommend

Have u seen my updated config?

and the mobo that i've suggested comes wid both USB3 + Sata3 and supports SLI/CFX aswell

And far as the PSU is concerened dont buy that GS600 PSU as it has bad built quality compared to VX550... In the updated rig i've suggested u a better quality and higher wattage PSU (750w) as u r gonna do SLI soon...

but what about HDMI/DVI/D-LED2 connectivity ?? m gonna need it as m going to connect it to my bravia for watching movies

and the power supply seems too much, r u sure ill be needing 750 W, i think 600W-650W is more than enuff

get the i7 2600k and a gud p67 board from asus...or if u can wait then go for a Z67 board..it will have sli/xfire support for 16x-16x-16x...also ditch the 1 tb caviar green its painfully slow...better go with a ssd for a boot drive & a 500 gb wd blue for a backup drive...a little fine tuning can help u build a much better rig for 85k compared to what u have listed...also dont go for the 22" benq v series rather go for the dell 23" ultrasharp for 2k extra of save 2k and go for the dell st2320

ive seen the display quality of both the models u mentioned, i prefer benq coz it has crisp display, good viewing angles, economical whereas dell is ****in overpriced and is too bright, dats why i chose benq. my 1TB WD was working just fine, nothing slow in dat

also if ur suggesting anything pls see to it dat it fits my budget including every component i mentioned in my first post

u said that u will SLI GTX560 in the future so a 750watter is a must for that...

P67 chipset motherboards doesn't come wid HDMI/DVI and whats this LED2? :S

The graphic card that u r buying has HDMI port so u can connect ur HDTV wid ur rig...
