Sandy Bridge is already out and it pwns i7 870. With the revised B3 mobos out get i5 2500(10.25k) and Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3(7.5k) ~ 17.75k (For combo)

As Hades said follow the template for better suggestions!!

EVGA doesnt have much presence in India. I would suggest the MSI HD6850 ~ 10.2k or Sapphire HD6950 1GB ~ 14.8k.

Get the Corsair VX550 or Seasonic S12II 620w instead of Corsair GS600

+1 to Hades --

Either go for the revamped Sandy-Bridge setup OR wait for BullDozer shocker \,,/
i dont overclock so i dont need the sandybridge setup plus as i mentioned i need all the types of components mentioned above, so it isnt in my budget

Use the template buddy... just edit ur post...

EVGA is giving lifetime warranty, xfx is too costly, others give around 3 years, plus i m not a big fan of Red Team so no HDs for me. i'll consider wat u said bout corsair :) thanks :)

Lifetime doesnt mean your lifetime :p It just means the lifetime in which the product is in production. The GPU lineup is refreshed every year. So it would be current line up and next one. So it would come to way lesser than 3 yrs :p

Since you dont OC i have changed my recommendation to i5 2500(10.25k) and Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3(7.5k) ~ 17.75k (For combo) Edited first post too.

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

P.S: From where did you get the EVGA quote? Usually EVGA Indian warranty is only 2 yrs. Have seen EVGA deals in TE. Its better to avoid IMO.

If you want only green team cards then i suggest the below cards.

MSI N460GTX HAWK--Twin frozer II - 11.6k

MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozer II/OC - 15.5k

But keep in mind that the Red cards are more VFM for gaming if you dont need the CUDA of green team at this price points

Guys if u give any suggestion, kindly see to it that it fits my overall budget including all other components that i wish to buy, and thanks for enlightning me on the lifetime warranty feature :p

hey thanks for the GPU recommendations. since ive always felt dat evga and xfx are the best after trying numerous GPUs (P.S. m an avid quake gamer), dats why i chose evga. but if u recommend MSI, then i'll surely consider dis option as far as the indian market is concerned.

Suggested u a decent processor as u r not looking to overclock and this proccy is best for gaming

Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H @ 7.5k is really not worth... so i've suggested u a full ATX motherboard motherboard which supports CFX & SLI... and U'd b having an option to add another GTX560 Twin Frozr II in the future...

@Hades. Any particular reason for pairing a P67 for a non OC, nonSLI, non XFire rig!!!

Also the S12II 520 is currently out of stock with Rahul

Also the U2311H prices seems to have increased to 15k :( Dell UltraSharp U2311H

But as Hades suggested i would also advice the OP to invest the cash saved in the Sound card and get this monitor instead :D

sound card isnt just for my low end speakers, its for my bose home theatre i have in my lab, my original config mobi had sli and crossfire, i'm not gonna overclock but i may usi sli for bridging 2 gtx cards :)

  • Then you need to mention that ;)
  • If you have SLI in mind then you should answer that in Question 5 instead of just saying final one :|
  • I dont think you would need one IMHO. Its better to go SLI immediately. By the the time you feel you need to SLI few months down the line GTX6xx cards based on 28nm fab with more power and efficiency will be here and SLI wouldnt make sense.
  • But if you insist then you should get a good P67 mobo ~ 10k and a good 750w Seasonic/Corsair PSU ~ 7k-7.5k

the gigabyte H67MA-UD2H is highly overpriced and its not even as feature rich as P67A-GD55... for 2300 more is really a great mobo... :)

plus he is buying a discrete GFX so buying an H67 is really not worth as after adding the GFX the ondie IGP wud automatically get disabled...

So how does the P67 for this setup justify the premium of 2.3k (non-OC,non-SLI,non-XFire) He doesn't use any of the extra features the P67 offers and still ends up paying 2.3k (~30% more than the H67MA-UD2H) He can use the IGP in case he needs to RMA the GPU with a H67 mobo or when selling a current GPU and waiting to buy a new one(Just for a realistic scenario)

The OP had mentioned SLI intentions only in his later posts.

IINM there is no Asus mobo for 7.5k which has 4 DIMM slots and offers both USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps. The P8H67M doesn't have USB 3.0 and still priced @ 7.6k!!!

the 2.3k premium is really worth for that board... as its a full ATX motherboard... has right angled Sata ports... better layout... CFX and SLI support... internal USB3 header... more SATA ports etc etc...
