Intel 12th gen non k

@iPwnz The mobo costs aren't very different for AM3 and Alder Lake this time. Aorus Pro AX B550 - 18.8k lowest currently. Same model B660 - 17k. Similar price range for Rog Strix as well.

It's still not an extensive list of motherboards, there may or not be more which support it (hopefully some ddr4 ones as well) in the near future

Unlikely Intel will let AIBs bring this to B series.
He has already confirmed that B series boards do have it. He will make video on them as well

What is your point man? Someone planning to do non k oc will always double check the availability of an external clock generator anyway.

There u go

User review with asus b660m-k motherboard

Initial i5 12400 OC reviews on high-end Z690 (with clock generator) were also promising. Most reviewers benchmark i5 12600K at stock which is 4.5GHz all core on P cores, hence that looks weaker to 13600K in games. Some tests on 12600K or 12700K showed that turning off E cores (to reduce overall power draw) & OCing P cores to 5GHz were optimum for gaming. Bummer that non-K Intel CPUs are still not overclockable by default as lower-end chips have decent OC potential. Even i3 12100 had decent uplift with OC in games.
