Graphic Cards HDMI Problem

Hey guys,

I have a hd5850 on my system and i bought a hdmi to hdmi cable.
Now i connected one end to the card and the other to the monitor(benq G2420hd), But i got no display on the monitor....i tried it with a dvi and hdmi cable both at the same time and it goes to dvi even when i select hdmi on the monitor.

Any help Guys....

If you are getting the display with dvi cable then its the hdmi cable who is the culprit

Try with one cable at a time

Did you try with another hdmi cable ? - maybe you can borrow your friend's hdmi cable and check it again

i was actually thinking that the cable might be bad.......will have to borrow my friends cable .....just thought something else might be the problem.
