Don't trust DTDC for delivery of sensitive items. I shipped an A5 size digital painting and the guy at office said "Sir, pay 250Rs for specialised shipping and it'll guarantee that item will be shipped fast and without any damage since these parcels are carried separately in another vehicle along with other sensitive items"

I said ok and paid. And lo and behold, the buyer got the painting with little damage to the sides. I went to office and scolded the guy and he gave me back the shipping charges. but who cares about shipping? I just wanted the item to be delivered without any damage. That painting was worth 4k rs :|

DTDC guys just use that as an excuse to upsell the premium category. In reality, everything goes the same way in the same time. The last time i was shipping an envelope with a key inside, the DTDC girl at the counter tried scare tactics with me and asked to go premium for safe and secure shipping. I just asked her to shut up or else i would ship using some other courier.

And shipping a painting is a risk even with Bluedart, Fedex etc, you need bullet proof packing just like Amazon, Flipkart etc use,

Sigh. I sent paintings to foreign countries like US, Aus and even effin NZ and they reached in perfect condition. But I cannot get the same service from Hyd to Bangalore.

I just remembered, that guy also promised that it'll reach in one day but it took 2 days.

I bought a Nook tablet on another forum (there is a sale thread for it here as well). It was shipped on 12th July via DTDC. I'm still waiting for it. Multiple calls and emails to customer service later, they can't determine if the package is still in Mumbai or if it has reached Bangalore. They keep kicking me between Bangalore and Mumbai and in the meantime almost a month has passed.

Anybody know somebody that can escalate this?

First flight is the worst courier in India. They're sitting on a package of mine from 22nd October. 7 days gone by and they don't have the time to deliver a package from Mumbai to Mumbai. Shitty courier company. Hope it dies.

Immediately :D
Scratch that. It should have been years back. Add to the list Professional Courier who is opposite of their name.

Truth be told I find DTDC to be much worse than First Flight and I do remember once calling up Professional and telling them that they are very unprofessional, I don't remember what that was about but overall a bad experience.

Blue Dart really has gone to the dogs.

Earlier, they would mention the reason of no show as something like 'delivery attempted, nobody at home' BS just cuz they were not able to deliver as per their claims. Now I been waiting for an article to be delivered since 3 days:

1st Day Status: Out for delivery
Day ends, new status: Incomplete address

2nd Day Status: Out for delivery
Day ends, new status: Prohibited area

3rd Day Status: Out for delivery >>Finally the thing gets delivered!
I ask the delivery boy as to what was all the tomfoolery about.. and his reply: "Sir, the delivery boy who delivers to this sector has not been coming. Hence the delivery had been this late"

All this after the consignment had been dispatched on the 19nth of Oct.
Felt like bashing BD's head in for all the BS.

Similarly, India post has a package collected on the 20th.
Horrible updates on the site. Still showing 26th's log, and reads -
"Item delivery attempted INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS "

Which never happened! The consignment got delivered today.

Both the orders were placed during Amazon's sale period.

Same happened to me with XpressBees. Their CC don't pick up calls and emails get reply after 4 days. They are not even present on any of the social platforms for immediate attention. Had to call the ecommerce company to escalate the issue.

Guys, did anyone used dtdc pickup service recently or anytime?

One package was picked up from mangalore to be delivered in Pune. And pickup person said consignee (me) will get airwaybill number and receipt (including payment for insurance) in email within 3-4 hours. And still after two days there is no details about where about of courier and airwaybill number etc. Even dtdc center is claiming that airwaybill number is indeed sent to mail id. Can anyone validate this? DTDC CC is saying AWB number is given at the time of pickup only.

I am in dilemma, whether to lodge police FIR for stolen goods or wait for 3-4 days for courier to deliver, just in case they do it.

An international package was shipped via DHL, but now in India it's being delivered by India Post? Does anyone know about this?

Kudos to India Post for learning from the worst... 3 days of 'attempted delivery' with no delivery...

Have you come across about indian post from DHL CC only?

DTDC experience off-late was bad. Delivery address was of my office but I wasnt well hence requested him to deliver at my home which was just 800mtrs from my office. HE refused and asked for someone to pickup at office or try next day.
I have to come down to office to take it.

Previously they do deliver in surrounding zone.
