Why go back to xp. MS i believe has stopped updates for xp. Everything runs fine on win 7. Personally using a 64bit version of it. Just remove the bloatware that vaio provides.....
Ubuntu is another great option.
ok. here's what I did. Removed the GPU and booted the pc. POSTs normally [no time lag] etc.
Then I blew the dust off it. Shorted the CMOS jumper for the heck of it..:D:ohyeah: Attached the GPU. Restarted. POSTs normally [no time lag] etc.
Hopefully my problems solved.

Automatically rebooting the router is also possible as I have read it on certain forums. Never tried it as it was kinda weird to play...
