Storage Solutions BACKUP MOVIES ON DVD : HELP

As part of work, I typically need to backup 12-16GB of video content a week. I've been doing this for the past 4 years or so. 95% of this has been backed up on Moserbaer's Platinum DVD-Rs and the rest on Moserbaer's regular DVD-Rs. I burn at the slowest possible speed (4X on one drive and 2X on...

Storage Solutions Which SSD for HP dm1z?

Just to update, I got delivery of the SSD (OCZ Agility 3, 60GB) a bit after I made my post. I really didn't need an SSD this fast, as the dm1 itself would bottleneck the SSD. Even my Music PC (also based on the AMD E350 platform) would not really utilise its speed completely. But then I believe...

Storage Solutions Which SSD for HP dm1z?

Sorry for bumping up an old thread. I was wondering if the OP or anybody else installed an SSD in their dm1. If so, I'd love to know it went, and if the the dm1 is bottlenecking SATA III SSDs. (I have a dm1-3210AU, and I was thinking of using an 60GB OCZ Agility III in it.)

PC Peripherals Need a POWERFUL Wireless Keyboard Mouse Combo

Frank, have you tried using a regular receiver with a short USB extension cord? You can use the extension cord to bring the receiver outside the cabinet and perhaps hide it away somewhere.

    Dead Cheap HTPC configuration

I don't think the "PRO" version is available any more. The only additions it has are USB3.0 and a tiny fan (which you can choose to not use). To me, the fan is useless, as the board works well without a fan (in a well ventilated cabinet), and this is one of the major attractions of the board (in...

    Dead Cheap HTPC configuration

As vivek.krishnan mentioned above, it does not make too much sense to get an add-on GPU for this board. The built-in GPU is very adequate for HTPC use. Another thing you need to consider is that the Elite 100 will not let you install an add-on card. The case is very slim, and it does not have a...

CCAvenue Payment Gateway hacked. CEO cries foul

I've been using their services (as a merchant) for quite a few years now. I recall that they were hacked once before :( Not sure of the version of the server they were using before though. This is a big hit to merchants and customers alike, and a big hit to the willingness of people to use...

Seeking advice on a HTPC setup

Hi! A complete noob here. :) I'm looking to build a Music PC. Usage will be mostly music and a bit of movies. I will not be using the PC for anything else. It will sit in my Hifi rack and will be used with the rest of the kit in there. One of my main considerations is the need for a minimum...
