Good start! What camera was used?

I don't vlog but create content for work. You might wanna look into the following areas to improvise.

1) If you are using an external microphone, get a dead cat/muffler. It will remove most of the wind noises.
2) Get a gimbal for a more stabilized and steady shot while moving.
3) Experiment with time and hyper-lapse + add some nice music from NCS or epidemicsounds.

Thank you @kalph09 for your kind views & feedback- much appreciated ! have just started taking baby steps and hope to get better equipment in the future.
Have been using handheld mobile- Nexus 5 , Oneplus 6 & 7 for these videos with the internal mic- hence the wind noise in most vids.

Could you recommend a simple video editing software ( for Windows ) that would let me trim & merge videos? Maybe even add voice over or open source audio/tune tracks?

Do you have a channel or insta profile yourself. Happy to give a FF !

Since you are aiming for the shorter formats, you may want to shoot vertical and then upload them. Also use the hashtag #shorts in the video description so that YouTube knows that this is a shorts video. I think shotcut is free and simple to use. You can go for davinci resolve if your computer is speeced enough.
My advice is to edit the video and 70load to multiple social platforms like YouTube shorts, instagram reels, MX taka tak, moj etc etc

I make content for my employer for internal consumption. No presence on social media :)

OpenShot and ShotCut are two editing tools I would start with.

I use Camtasia, SnagIt and FinalCut Pro (mac). Camtasia is more suited for instructional-type stuff (ex: tutorials) FCP is more aimed at cinema grade stuff.

Instead of posting multiple videos a day, schedule them.
So that you don't run out of content.
Check giggle on thumbnail, title and description related optimization.

Any suggestions for video editing tools for mobile?

Can Camtasia for windows allow most type of editing like
Cut/paste /merge videos and sounds of different formats.

And other basic things.

Filmic Pro and ProTake. I don't use either but have come across a lot of praises for both. Am not a fan of editing on phones, tiny screens, and fat fingers don't go well when you need that precision.

I use LumaFusion on iPad, a great editing tool with a steep learning curve. Am yet to familiarise the controls, should get there eventually.

Camtasia works with different file types and is fairly easy to use in terms of cut/paste or merge. If you intend to buy, check prices via the US.
