Those long exposure pics.. :O Simply awesome. Do we need a SLR to accomplish that or just any cam will do the trick ?
Not DSLRs alone - any prosumer cam with a manual mode can do the trick IINM.

Yesterday was a purnima so tried this trick after getting inspired from Touzeen's long exposure trick. :p

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Clicked at midnight and almost all the folks at my office failed to believe that. :\

^ Of course you are lying :p

btw, some snaps I had taken a few months back.

Noob alert. These were taken when I had ZERO clue about shooting in the dark, ISO and the like. Shot with an outdated 7.2 MP Sony DSC W80 with 3x optical zoom, in complete darkness. Folks who have been to Taj at night would know. Only source of light was the moon, hidden behind the clouds.

Apologies for putting in amateurish stuff in a pro thread :ashamed:

@rravikantt - Thanks ! :D Loved the second shot

@b_naresh - Sorry, these images were clicked with a Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 10mm (15mm equivalent). A tripod was used only for the last shot. :)

Most of them were shot with a CPL filter.

Adding 3 more wide angle shots.
