The Desktop Thread!!

damn i cant see the image, my connection is acting up many sites wont open...

@DS: what link/commands did you use?

after installing subversion package i created a KDESRC dir in my home folder then in that dir i did :

svn checkout svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/playground/base/plasma/desktoptheme/air air

note the "air" is repeated twice above so it creates a folder called "air"... also try both uppercase KDE and lowercase kde in the svn link above, i dont recall...

then i just copied the air folder to:

cp -r air ~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme

Note this is for Kubuntu, for other distro the ~/.kde might be somewhere else like ~/.kde4 ...

i just restarted X/kdm then when you right click on desktop and go to settings you can pick the air theme... its only a plasma theme so window/widgets style is still what you choose (i use QtCurve)...
