Hmm but that's similarly priced to that of the newer nvmes in discount. I was looking for sata based due to economical reasons only. I mean it's an obsolete tech right? So I thought that would give more discount or whatever. I guess I was wrong

Well, these drives are aimed at older gen laptop which do not have m2 slot.

It was a pre-order/launch day offer from what I remember, had to pay 3k or 4k for those 2. Now its just card off + exchange bonus.

Do ask some offline Samsung store. I bought offline and day after pre order where samsung.com stopped the combo but they still had it.
