OP can save some cash by getting Gigabyte B75M D3H-4.5k,For Case Nzxt Souce 210 Elite-2.6k OR Corsair 300R-4.3k would be a good choice.

He has stated that he wants optical out (SP/DIF) for his speakers and headphone, the cheaper motherboard(s) does not have that provision.

Apart from that NZXT and Corsair cabinets are not available in Hyderabad, although I know someone who can answer this query --> @crossbow.

Do not know about NZXT, but corsair carbide 300R was available for 3.8K, although I bought it from the shop near to my home. But I am sure at CTC, stock was there. As it was sourced from local distri/bulk dealer by my shopkeeper.

I missed the SP/DIF part?,OP hasn't mentioned anything about keeping the speaker and headset,It's his choice though if SP/DIF is required then spending 7k on the mobo is necessary.About the case looks like Corsair 300R is available for OP so he's good to go.

Yeah, B75M ruled out due to the audio out ports.

Thanks guys that was lot of help. btw, no love for amd? I can see that apart from power rating, piledriver was looking good.

Online means the risk of DoA when you receive it. Best to get such things on your own STEAM in my opinion, instead of leaving things to chance.

AMD, has much higher power consumption, average performance in games (dual-core Core i3's can catch up to it) and seeing that you do not want to over-clock makes sense to go for a RIG that fits the bill. Cheers!

The Intel DH77EB motherboard has SP/DIF port and costs only 6k. Here's what i ended up buying a couple of weeks back from SP Road Bangalore:

All prices are exclusive of tax so add 5.5% to the final price.

Intel Core i5 3450 - 10500
Intel DH77EB - 6000
4*2 Gskill Sniper - 3000 (Ripjawsx was available for 2600)
Sapphire 7850 2GB - 14600
Seasonic 520W - 3500
Logitech G400 - 1400
Coolermaster Enforcer - 6300
Asus DVD R/W - 1000
OCZ Vertex 4 SSD - 7600

cabby will add least 400-500 bucks of shipping charge, if ordered online. 300R was priced at 4500 at itwares and primeabgb when I was hunting. FK price was some 4800 too.
You can trust FK, for sure, but price for 300R is too much there.

And as far as you plan to game BL2 and BF3, I would totally recommend Nvidia GPU, as both games use physx. And IMO alpha only mentioned in one of his reply that both games are Nvidia's babies.
IF it's not too much more then budget, get 660 Ti, any MSI or Asus. I am darn sure, at CTC you will be able to close deal for 20K.

Only reason investing more in GPU is, it will not make any sense playing on 40 incher with 6450, and 7850 will sweat i guess in 1080p with full details and high settings, after Q3 13 for sure. Try to get 660Ti and settle for 2 years of non-compromised gaming. Now non-compromised for BL2, BO2, BF3, not for crysis 3. It will sweat even 670/680 on ultra settings for sure.

Actually, keeping the future in mind and the fact that OP is staggering his purchase an AMD HD8*** graphic card might be better.

In Crysis Warhead (the actual Crysis benchmark) the AMD cards perform better (OR at par) than nVidia counterparts because of the memory bandwidth issues that the latter has to juggle with.
AnandTech - Bench - GPU12 --> AMD HD7850 2GB vs. GTX660

BattleField 3 on the other hand is completely in nVidia's purse, whilst Civilization V and DiRT are in AMD's kitty. Once you start pushing the resolution over 1080p you will kick nVidia over the edge, then the lack of bandwidth really starts showing but that is only if you are going for a multi-monitor setup.

Hope this helps, Cheers!

Okay here is my list for this month.

Intel Core i5 3550-------------------12500
Intel DH77EB-------------------------06000
Corsair Vengeance 4GB x2 1600MHz-----03000
Corsair 300R-------------------------03800

Total--------------------------------25300

What do you say guys?

It's very good,You're good to go.

btw, did I mention Crysis 3? BL2 is the game that brought my interest back into PC gaming. I was happy playing crysis2 on my xbox. This rig is what is going to take the honors of Crysis3. :muhaha:

I will look out for that too. btw, whats the difference between two?

The senior sibling packs in two front USB 3.0 ports.

A better cable management interior with bevelled surfaces and a cavernous interior to help with all this.

regarding optical out on B75 - it has an spdif out on the motherboard - you just need to connect it a female optical socket.

typically, you would need a back plate spdif o - search for it online.. getting one in india might be a problem.

you can whip one up with spare cables if you have the chops. (it can help you save almost 2k on your box)
