By the looks of it, the thread-title should be "The first respectable head-phone youve purchased".

In that case, I started my respectable can journey from Creative HS-900 (ordered from US via newegg).

Even the IEM thread seems on a similar note, when someone has said first purchase RE0 (while he has mentioned ep630 in siggy)

Some cheapass Jupiter headset that i had won in a Digit contest :p

Then came a slew of Intex and Frontech headphones that didnt last...

The SHP2700 and then the ATH-M50 :D

Never owned. Always had a sony hi-fi system and creative speakers for my audio needs. The grado were my first headphones :)

MDR-XD100 (same as the 200's without volume control) / Sony MDR-7506 (ones that sasha & pvd used to use back then - built like tanks) / Sennheiser HD201 (love these lil buggers still using them) / Ultrasone HFI 780 / Currently - JVC 700's (decent cans for the price) miss the 780 sometimes. :(

I bought Some Frontech headphones for about 125bucks (Later came to know that they cost Rs.75 only x( ) locally...they were with mic...here's the pic

My first pair of good cans was Sony MDR XD100. Bought it for 1k around 2-3 years ago and still use them mainly for watching movies. Lack of bass makes them useless for music. WOnder how long they'll last :)
