Xolo Q1000 has a 5 inch HD display, 8 megapixel BSI camera and Android 4.2 OS as well.

Xolo, a brand of Lava international, has come out with a new quad core phone, called Xolo Q1000. The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1.2 GHz quad core processor which is aided by 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal memory.
Xolo Q1000 has a 5 inch IPS display with HD (720 x 1280) resolution which means that it has 294 ppi pixel density. The display is covered with Dragontrail glass which claims to be six times stronger than normal glass and is also scratch resistant.

Xolo Q1000 gets 8 megapixel rear camera with BSI (backside illumination) CMOS sensor which promises better low light photography. It also has a 1.2 megapixel front camera also with BSI sensor.
Powered by a 2100 mAh battery, the phone comes with support for up to 42 Mbps 3G speeds, Bluetooth 4.0, and WiFi.
Maniac store has listed the phone for Rs 13,999. Flipkart has also listed the phone but has not revealed the price yet.
We expect its price to go down when the phone becomes available across stores.

XOLO is launching a bevy of smartphones at each price point. Given the success of Q800, MMX might have a strong competition at hand. Q1000 has almost the same specs as Micromax Canvas HD. What you gain additionally is supposedly a better build quality, dragon trail glass, 4.2 Jelly bean out of the box, better camera all possibly at a lower price point. You might also save on some trips to the service center since XOLO offers pick up from home for faulty devices. (What happens next is unknown though :p )

No Full HD? :(

It has almost the same specs as Micromax Canvas HD A116, except that it has latest android Jellybean 4.2 and dragon trail glass which is scratch proof. These features might make this phone a good alternative to the Micromax Canvas HD A116

A quote from FK reviews on Xolo X1000: http://www.flipkart.com/xolo-x1000/product-reviews/ITMDGZHHVYWSVGZF

If anybody is looking forward to take revenge, gift this phone. I can part ways with it at a mere ten thousand bucks, after a modest 2 weeks use!! And If I could not, soon, I'll post a link to a youtube video demonstrating its use as a hot plate or body warmer.

Specs are good, hopefully they get their product quality and after sales support right too.

At this price, I will prefer Micromax 116 because it has proved it's worth up to some extent according the reviews of the people who have it.
