Budget 10-15K Won SII bid from ebay. Phone OS upgradable?

Hi all,

I've won a bid in ebay for galaxy s2 .Kindly find the link.

seller told me that phone is not upgradable . Is that so ?
I know, it can be rooted and install whatever we wish. But, thing is that it is not a new phone. It is factory seconds, I guess. I want to know, is there a chance that the above phone cannot be rooted/upgraded ?

Thanks for your quick reply.
I didn't asked that. I told them that in description, they have mentioned it can be upgraded. They haven't replied yet.
Earlier I asked whether I can root and install custom ROMS.
They replied me that, they will BOOT and then only they ship!!!!! Seller is from hong kong

If its the original SII and not a fake china made stuff then yes u can root flash custom rom or can upgrade to official ics....JB if available.

How can we differentiate between official and chinese stuffs ? They have given the description from gsm arena .

Ask the seller also check the seller ratings if he had previously sold similar model.

Seller has 96.6% +ve feedback. My friend bought xperia arc s from the same seller. Their products are genuine.But, minor issues are there

Dude, why don't you buy a new one from the same ebay @18.6k(approx) which will also have official manufacturer warranty for 1 year?
In my opinion it is better to prefer what i said rather than factory seconds. Anyway, it was just what i'm thinking according to my circumstances.
Your's may be something else. All the best.
