Which is best entry-level Reliance CDMA phone?

Hi,

My friend's Reliance CDMA phone has died.

he is looking for a new phone.

Budget is under Rs. 3000.

His only requirement is that the phone should have the best battery life possible.

No frills. He does not need music, internet and all that stuff...

He just needs a sturdy, tough phone with excellent battery life to make phone calls and SMS.

I have heard Nokia is best when it comes to battery life... Is it true?

Kindly advise on which phone and model to buy...

LG RD3500 is a good phone...battery is good and gives a talktime of 4hrs...i think this model is discontinued...but you can get phone of same series..like LG RD3540...price is 1.2k i think...

I've an LG RD3530. Best entry-level phone. 1K~, standby is almost for a week, great battery. But expect nothing more than calls and SMS.

My friend needs to make calls and SMS only. Nothing else needed except for great battery life and handset should be sturdy...

I guess LG 3500 series is the winner here..

Can the existing contacts/sms from old Reliance phone be transferred to this new phone?

^ RD3530 uses standard microUSB cable to connect to PC and also has PC suite. So copying contacts to this phone is not an issue, if you can somehow copy contacts from the old phone. I'm not sure about SMS

I do not know if contacts can be copied to PC from the old phone. that old phone is 3 years old. I am assuming it is not possible....
