PC Peripherals Which HDD to buy?

Hi,

I planned to buy Hitachi 160 IDE, I have been calling Delta Peripherals for a long time, they say i have to wait for some more time, yea i know PATA is not common nowadays, but still .I hv been waitin for nearly 3 weeks... I saw that Segate n Samsung 160 IDE r available, so which one shd i go 4??
 
Well Seagate and Samsung are almost equal in performance, but Seagate has a better dealer and service network, so I would suggest Seagate.

My Hitachi 160Gb PATA which I bought in Mumbai recently has a sticker of Cyberstar Infocon - Chenai

address is #217 Peters Lane, Gopalapurum.
 
Just got a Segate 160GB SATA for my new Rig yesterday.

Get a Segate Baracuda 7200rpm also it has 5yrs warranty.

BTW if i aint mistaken hitachi too has 5yrs warranty [correct me]
 
Alright now, you have waited long enough, buy it and come to my house if there is no rain. Guyz is there any thing to look out in the rpm like the 7200.7, .8,.9, etc...
