Which G-Shock watch to buy (or anything similar with lot of functions) ?

Hi, I am looking to buy a wrist watch with lot of features and functions in <10k range. I checked G-Shock of casio and they look really good but still can more knowledgeable ppl here suggest me which model is most value for money ? also is there any other such brand which offers similar products ?
 
If you want G Shock, there is only G Shock to buy. Period. Check Mudman, Frogman, Riseman series.

If you want "functions" check the Casio Pro Trek series. But be expensive.
 
@m-jeri - Hii can you suggest me some model in G-Shock which is value for money ? I am getting a second hand G-Shock in really good condition (see the model pic) for 4.5k (original cost ~7k), should I buy that or should I go for new one ? Thanks

What functions are you looking for. Even SUUNTO has good offerings. Depends what you want.

LOL. Just one. But have some other watches, and am generally interested in horology.

for 4.5k.. thats not a bad deal.. But if you have say 10k, please do check out some of the series I mentioned. Extremely good.

Thanks, can I order them online or buy it offline from store (I am in Bangalore) ? I think I can get 5-10% cheaper online

EDIT - I checked mudman, frogman, riseman and their pro series, I think those will be too feature rich and costly for me. I am looking for something in 6k to 8k range,
 
Up to you. Just make sure you are getting from a authorized retailer with Casio Warranty. I bought all my G Shocks online. :)
 
Actually I did some searching and feels I can go upto 10k for GShock and will buy a new one only, can you tell me from which site you bought GShocks ? if I ask you to recommend GShock for 10k to me, which one will you recommend ?

Well, in India I got from ebay.com and another Casio from Flipkart.

Well, I kinda go like one from each variant. :). So you go and see for yourself what you wish. Classic, Military(Mudman, Riseman, Rangeman), Aviation, Diver(Frogman), Garish or Gold etc. Which look you prefer. As one persons may not be suitable of likable to other. :). They have the same type of watch in different styles also, check the links to understand. So you really need to see the website and then check what is available for you. Pricing of the same type with different vendors will also vary. Never understood how. Yea, all original with warranty. Still. :S

i just dont like any other shocks cept fully digital ones, ever since school i've always had only digital gshocks hahaha never got into the whole dial automatics thing but they make some really nice ones i haveto admit, im a sucker for jdm watches. :D

For your first G, I picked few of the most iconic, classic ones. Avoided all the negative displays also. Baby steps. :). Any of these you wont go wrong IMO.
And with these, people wont think its some knock offs or wanna be. This is G.

@m-jeri and @toxicdrift - Thanks alot, just one last question, why so much cost difference between 2nd and 3rd ? and what is the minor difference between 1st and 2nd ? just the design ? I may buy the 2nd one (10K+) if you guys says so :)

The first one runs on solar, shows temperature. The second one has digital compass, world time, temperature and runs on solar. Third looks like a basic function watch with Moon Tide. I may be wrong. No clue about the price difference part. :)
 
I kinda collect watches. :(. So I may buy multiple models. :(.

But if you buying just a single G and be done with it. Get the second.
