Hello.
I finally received my computer parts from Lynx last week, assembled the system, installed Windows and three hours later took the flight to London for a business visit
.
So, my brand new machine that I waited almost 10 years for is sitting in India while I am in this part of the world for the next week and a half.
However, I have one little question, and hopefully, the attached AMD Overdrive screen-shot will help you answer my question:
Which two DIMM slots should I populate with 2x 2GB dual channel DDR3 memory sticks to attain optimum performance?
I know that you need to put one memory stick in one channel each, but the motherboard manual almost dictates that you put both of the RAM sticks into the same channel.
I have an AMD Athlon II X4 620 processor to go with an MSI 790-GX G65 motherboard.
Please look at the attached screen-shot and tell me whether I should put one of the memory modules into a different slot.
