My friend wants to buy mobile in the budget of 8k.

He is interested in Sony Ericsson W395. Is this mobile good for him? ;)

why not samsung Star

it's price has been reduced to 8.5k since the launch of Star Wi-Fi and the cost cut on 5800xm

Dont buy W395 its not good if your friend is ok with touch phone do look at samsung star (imo very good mobile) for non touch phones SE G502 or NOKIA 6303

Is samsung good?

He prefers SE. Its fast & has walkman. :D

One think he wants to confirm that the new SEW395 supports Opera mini & downloadable

themes or not? He really wants browser support. If not opera then sumthin else.

Music is a must :D

Few SE phones quality are in questions? may be SE loosen quality control... (from horse mouth).

Best Brand now days SAMSUNG

Nokia

I too have SE phone & love quality sound/camera... but it's 2.5 yrs old.

Go for Samsung Star w/o any second thought, earlier i was buying star only but due to huge price drop by nokia on 5800 i went for that :)

Samsung star is the best deal at 8.5k, you get...

3" screen

3.2mp nice camera(no auto focus and flash btw)

touch screen

very nice browsing capabitlities(as u mentioned he want good browsing experience)

loudspeaker is indeed loud, can easily beat that SE w395

[check reviews mannn :p]

there is no comparison b/w se w395 and samsung star imo .... total pWnage :lol:

At last it's once own choice , bst of luck !

i want to go for a compact *music phone, *gaming, occasional browsing , good cam. (cam not priority tho).
My dad has n97, n' found i'm not into touch screens, i use its keyboard more.
Samsung has no keypad right?
I'm more into slide ph's. They r compact & i like that.
R there any other mobiles wch r fast like SE's?
My laptop's gfx went dead, so i'm on my nokia 5200. :-D cant do much googling.
gsmarena stated w395 has wifi. Is tat true?

Looks like everyone has been paid here by the Samsung.

And btw, go for Samsung Star, its really worth :p

There is new phone coming from motorola zn300 @ 7k . . Its slide phone with 3mp cam . . Just saw it in newtechnology.co.in . .
