Vista x64 help

Hi Guys,
I want to install windows vista 64 bit edition, but i have some questions:

1.Will it work faster than 32 bit
2.Can i install 32 bit softwares on it like we get in digit dvd etc.

Plz help me decide which edition (32 or 64 bit) to install

It wont run noticably faster, although in rare apps it may give 2-3% improvement. But most of the times u may see lower performance.

If u aint using more than 3Gb RAM, then 32-bit is all u need! and yes even on 64-bit vista u can install 32-bit softwares

not all 32bit programs will work on vista x64 - unless the new versions are vista ready

I have read somewhere that in 64 bit the security features r better than 32 bit, is that true?

Almost all of 32-bit software work on XP x64. I haven't found a software that dooesn't. Except game Driver and some virtual drive software( alcohol and like)

But device driver are very specific for x64. No 32-bit driver will work on x64 XP.
