Virtualbox - internet acces in gues machines possible ?

Hi,

Need your ideas on feasibility of this:

I have installed VirtualBox on my system with different guests OS.

Want to given Guest machines internet access.

My internet connection is through 5Net, ie., over PPPoE. I dialup a PPPoE connection on host machine to get internet access.

Your ideas will help me a lot...

In their documentation, I found NAT did have some minor issues, like it show issues in ping /icmp command, etc.

I resolved the issue by following these steps (may be not a best practice, but worked):

- enabled internet connection sharing on PPPoE connection

- set all guests networks in bridged mode

- disabled virtualbox's dhcp and manually added ips for all guests, ip range used is in range of ip of local lan connection on host. gateway assigned - it got automatically assigned on local lan card's tcpip settings when I enabled ics.

- net started working on guests.
