Ok what is the speed you get when you transfer a file from a wireless client to the nas when the client is placed just 3feet away from the router mate ?
From 3 ft away with a dell lattitude with intel 5300 wifi adapter I get 5.8 MB/s when transferring a 100 MB file from a usb drive connected to my WDR4300.
