The issue with Apple is that they enforce their lock in mainly with hardware. You cant use their services on non Apple hardware that well.
Google enforces it with software but they do give ways out - but this is not enough IMO. The main issue is they are aping Apple in some things.
Hope new ecosystems like UPI and ONDC come for apps.
