It is exposed for more than 5 sec. They are actually 30 sec each. Click through the links and see the exif data on flickr.
He used the 2sec. self-timer to trigger the camera while avoiding vibrations.

Guys please stop quoting the posts with the snaps! Tag the member if you have to OR quote the post but remove the snaps from it.
