This is the price, I get in most stores in my city as well.

@TTM, Can you clarify the 14.5k price? which city?

You might just have to order it online or wait for the price to come down.

I am looking forward to buying a pretty basic mobile, which has a nice Organizer (todo, reminder, notes, etc) and can import-export Contacts to/from a PC.

Budget is Rs.2000. Don't need any fancy Bluetooth, Camera, FM, GPRS options. However the phone should be color of course, and the audio quality should be decent.

Can any of you suggest anything?

Or is this thread only for the high-flying folks who have no idea about phones below 10K?

Your choices are the Nokia 6500 Slide(not exactly slim but has a chrome finish and is really sturdy), Nokia 5610XM and SE W585, SE C510 and SE K810.
All of the above mentioned are feature phones(i.e dumbphones if you ask me

)

You can also take a look at the Nokia N79(in some areas is selling for less than 15k) and Nokia 6210 Navigator. Both the N79 and 6210 are smartphones.

What would be a good buy within 16,000/-

requirements : Needs a good camera, Music is a must, the speakers have to be loud, wifi would be a good option... im currently using the n73 and my poor baby is dying aste aste...

Samsung S8300 Ultra Touch ~ 21.5K*

Though the S8300's display is smaller, it has a capacitive touch screen like the iphone, which is a good thing.

Add to that the 8MP camera and a normal keypad !

The Jet on the other hand offers WiFi, a better CPU and battery life.

Otherwise, both offer similar functionality.

Not too many Symbian/WinMo phones at this price range, which satisfy other requirements.
