Guys is it true that the old Diamond (HTC) has been redone with a matte finish and better battery life retailing for 20k odd?

Not talkin about the Diamond 2

Yes.It's true.

Telus (a CDMA cellular provider in Canada) will launch a CDMA version of the HTC Touch Diamond later this summer for $149.99 with a 3 year contract.

The telus HTC touch Diamond will also feature a slightly different back cover which will have a matte finish and no Diamond facets.

It seems it'll weigh in at 115 grams and dimensions will be 101mm x 50.8mm x 13.9mm as opposed to the original 110 grams and 102mm x 51mm x 11.35mm. So why has it increased in size and put on some weight? Well the original battery was 900 mAh but it seems Telus has pushed that up to 1340 mAh.

So its CDMA and it's gonna be launched exclusively by Telus (North America).. :(

A dealer in my City said that N82 has been discontinued, is this true?

There is no official confirmation for the same.

The model will continue to be sold until there are enough alternatives or till stocks last.

Old models have to be replaced by new models at some point of time but that doesn't meant one shouldn't buy the former.

I guess Nokia wants to push sales of N79/85.

Actually I went with a mind to buy, but the dealer sold me news!
Still I shall scout till I can get a piece from somwhere!

guys..
planning to buy nokia 5130XM
but on website of nokia it says support only 2GB memory card?
and GSM arena says supports 16GB ?? what is true ?

my requirement is small phone with music. no camera required but battery backup should be good and 3.5mm jack is must.
any other suggestion ?

I have been helped a few times in the past by this thread of TTM.

Here I am again with a new requirement.

Essential features:

Good battery life (specially standby and FM mode more than talk time)

Good network sensitivity.

Basic call and text features.

Alarm clock.

Budget phone - preferably under 2k

Edited: Display should be at least 128x128 pixel

Desirable features in descending order of importance:

FM radio

slim and light

music player with expandable memory (will increase budget if this can be brought in at small premium)

Thanks in advance

Can anyone suggest how to identify the new HTC diamond? The one below 20k but new battery and matt finish. How wud I know that its not old HTC. I guess this is not HTC Diamond 2, just an updated version of HTC diamond.

Hi
looking to buy a new phone and could really use your help
Requirements are as below :
1)Big screen
2)Bluetooth/3G/GPS etc
3)Make doesnt matter
4)Budget: around 15k
5)Good battery life
6)Decent memory - would use it to listen to music(mp3)

Preferences :
1)Touch screen
2)USB charger

Also i tend to use my phones for a very long time 3-4 years so i'd prefer one tht has a decent track record.

@Emil, try Nokia 1661~1800/-
Samsung Guru 1125
Motorola W180 Yuva
Sony Ericson K220i
Nokia 1650
Nokia 2626

Had considered the Nokia 1650 before but seems a bit bulky and clunky. The 128x160 display is attractive though.
Any personal experience with any of the suggested models?

Guys any good wifi enabled phones in the 7-8k range ?

There is no phone in that range which meets your requirements.

Your best option is the Asus P320. You can get it for 9k if you buy it using Credit Card from Ebay and use the ICICI rebate code.
