Hehe, couldn't wait to put up my show-off. Review will be out soon, when i get the time :D

With all your blessings, I am living in Canada now and doing computer engineering here. I bought this mean machine like a month ago but didn't get the time to put up the show-off or review as there is just too much here in Canada to see and do ;) - Know what i mean guys ? Hahahha

Here are the specs of this beauty

# Windows Vista Home Premium (SP1, 64-bit) - With free Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade which I've ordered

# Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 (2GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 6MB Cache) - Running this b**ch stable at 2.5 Ghz when i need the extra juice

# Intel PM45 + ICH9M chipset

# 15.6" WUXGA FHD LCD display at 1920x1080 - O yea man FullHD - ;)

# NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1GB GDDR3 memory - A dedicated GPU for gaming, what? are u kidding me???

# Intel 5100AGN Wireless

# 4GB DDR2-800 SDRAM (2GB x 2) - These overclock pretty nice too. Just the latency won't bulge, but that's alright. :)

# Two 320GB Seagate 7200RPM Hard Drives - Yea man lots of storage, but 2 x 500 GB would have been better ;)

# DVD SuperMulti - The only thing i dont like, no Blu-ray

# Webcam, Altec Lansing speakers, Backpack, Razer Copperhead USB mouse - Now these are a lot of freebies if you ask me man ;)

# 120W (19V x 6.32A) 100-240V AC Adapter

# 6-cell 53Wh 11.1v 4800mAh Lithium Ion battery - Battery backup isnt that good but thats to be expected :cool2:

# Dimensions (WxDxH): 14.6" x 10.3" x 1.3-1.6"

# Weight: 7lbs 9.0oz - Helps with your work-outs :p

# 2-Year Global Warranty/1-Year Accidental damage - Yea man that's right, 2 YEARS INTERNATIONAL warranty ;)

Here are the pics i clicked, just 2 of them, didn't get the time to click any more. Plus, some pictures I took from the internet.

Also bought this super cool alienware backpack to go with it.

Newegg.com - MOBILE EDGE Black 17" Alienware Orion backpack Model ME-AWBP2.0. - Laptop Cases

Now is this backpack cool or what? I'm simply in love with this piece. Use it as my school bag ;) Hahaha, and people are like duddee!! :D

Now when I get the time, I'm gonna come up with a good review. ;)

I was pretty happy with this piece until Asus decided to launch their new Monster which makes my lappy look like a small baby in diapers. - Asus G73JH-A1 17.3" FHD/ATI HD5870 GDDR5/i7-720QM/8GB DDR3/1TB 7200rpm/Blu-Ray/W7HP64: GenTech PC Store

So now this thing is gonna be my next purchase. I just cant wait to game on the fastest laptop on the planet - 1GB GDDR5 DX11 with a 5870, WTF!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

I'll keep you people posted. I know everyone is waiting for some numbers now ;)

Happy New Year, and don't drink too much
:hap2:

Holy shit, that's a killer lappy. Congrats! What's the damage?

And yeah, I guess it does deserve a pic or two. :p

hahaha, yea man, the normal method of inserting pics in the forum isnt working, so i had to put up those links instead. i know its better when we have thumbnails to have an idea before we open up the full sizes, but then thats not to be

the price it was selling here in canada was too high, like 1900 CAD$ + taxes (12%) so thats like 2150$. 2150x45 for INR. But then because of the holiday sales and stuff, I got this piece of ultra-cool hardware for a mere 1450$ - 1450x45 INR ;) hehe. 65k isnt too bad i think :D

Hehehe, those guys are called RCMP - Royal Canadian Mounted Police. For me, there's no mounting and stuff, just the usual (or maybe not so usual) stuff we like to engage in when we visit a whole new world of temptation and beauty :p

O yea this piece is amazing, but I just can't wait to get my hands on the other one now. I know its greed that's talking, but who cares when you've got a core i7, 8gb ddr3 ram, 1TB hdd space, blu ray reader, and the SUPREME Ati 5870, all confined in 17 inches of breathtaking magnificence :batman:

that one is a killer beast too.... but that website you linked has rip-off pricing on the optional stuff... the standard config is decent price, but change/add config stuff and they start to rip you off it looks like...

Yea totally agree with you, that's not the site I'm going to buy it from. I just put up the name of the laptop on google and inserted the first link google came up with, just for people to see the specs of this other lappy.

The bad thing about canada is that they charge a lot of tax, 12%. So its better buying from USA, but then again if you declare it in customs when bringing it here, you have to pay the duties and tax which initially you were trying to avoid paying. So there's no fool proof way of importing stuff here, I guess I'm better off paying the tax :(

LOLz man, the current config of this lappy was enough to give me goose bumps and now you are already thinking of getting the Grand Daddy of them all. :)

Best of luck mate. I am happy for you.

That is an awesome piece of hardware. I wonder if it's portable though - seems to be as heavy as a brick and a pain in the ass to lug around.
