Storage Solutions Suggestions for a new HDD

Quick Suggestions for a new 1TB or 1.5TB HDD

Hey guys,

Am filling up my current Hard drive and will require a new HDD soon enough! Will mostly be getting the HDD From US of A by this weekend. My queries:

1. Do HDD's bought outside India(WD/Hitachi/Seagate) also have support in India if there is a failure? If not have to search for dealers here and purchase a HDD.

2. Will be using the HDD for multiple purposes - Gaming/Apps/Movies. In short everything and not just as a backup option. So looking for fast solutions. Planning on the following:

1. Western Digital WD1002FAEX - WD Caviar Black 1 TB, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache, 7200 RPM

2. Western Digital WD1001FALS - WD Caviar Black 1 TB, SATA 3 Gb/s, 32 MB Cache, 7200 RPM

3. Seagate ST310005N1A1AS-RK - 1 TB, SATA 3Gb/s, 32MB cache, 7200 RPM

These options cost somewhere around ~120 USD on NEWEGG/AMAZON. Can someone suggest me a good option? Any option apart from the above is also welcome. Looking at solutions below the 150 USD mark. Thanks people!

These HDDs will cost you less than equal to $120 over here.

The samsung hdd will cost about 4k and the WD Blacks will set you back 5.5-6.5k or so
 
I suggest u buy from India. HDDs these days don't seem to be very reliable. I dont think Seagate or WD will RMA a drive brought from US in India.
