Graphic Cards Suggest a suitable graphics card

Hi,

I've got an AMD quad core 2.4Ghz machine wth 4 GB RAM and a 22" monitor. I'm luking for a suitable graphics card. My option was ATI Radeon 4850. Will there be any probs if i couple my machine wth a NVidia card ??
 
I've got the comparable 9800GTX in mind ... but i luv 4850 ... my budget is 10 - 15k .. suggest something else better in dis price range ...

Sidhu_21 is selling his 4870 1GB for about 13k in the market section, get that, it's the best deal by a long shot.
 
4850x2 kmd without a shadow of doubt. second choice would be a 4870 1gb. third choice would be a 4870 512 locally. if you want to save moolah for 58xx then 4850 locally or 4830 through kmd for 5.5-6k.
 
assuming u dont have a decent enough psu... HD4850 + corsair vx450w is what u can go for in 14-15k budget...if u buy locally.

or else HD4870 1GB kmd route n vx450 locally shall work out well wid a lil stretch in budget..
 
plz zero in on one card .. i've decided to get an ATI product only .. it must be either 4850 or 4870 ... now all i need to know is whether my processor s gud enuf to handle 4870X2 1GB load ?? or s a 4850 1GB enuf ...

It's not your processor that needs to handle it, it's your power supply/SMPS.
Get the best card your PSU can handle.
 
PSU s not at all a prob coz v can get wt ever PSU s needed for tat card .. i jus want to know the rate at which d GPU processor processes information is in synch wth my core processor or lower ...
 
No i jus need to know whether the processor's processing speed gud enuf to match the GPU's processing speed ... as far as a PSU s concerned i can very well get one which ever s best needed to power the machine ... so i don think tats prob here ...

r u on unlimited budget?
 
a faster cpu will help but nevertheless your cpu will be able to use a 4850x2 to a significant extent. getting it through kmd will set you back around 15-16k. to power it get antec ea650 for 5k or corsair hx620 for 8k.
