Suggest a HD Media Player with BT..

Never heard of this player.. Just checked the site, seems Hong Kong based. Where do we get in India & Whats the price ?

Frankly, Its just BD/BR Rips I want to play, Dont plan to purchase & play those costly BRs as of now.

If you see the links above, there is huge diff in price of Xtreamer.

One for 8490 & other for 11000. Any idea why is it ?

AC Ryan Play On HD Mini is out of race as it does not support torrent.

Well my friend, I am already feeling heat of 11500 Rs for AC Ryan Play On HD.. I guess HD2 will be too much to spend at this time..

Any source & price of Popcorn Hour A-110 in India ?
 
Hmm Xtreamer Sidewinder @ 8.5k sounds good deal if you dont plan to dock internal laptop HDD more than 500GB in ur media player ... + @ its official india website , it costs 9.5k including wifi dongle !

There is a media player from Compro which supports torrents, available here

I do not have any personal experience on this, the specifications says it does support torrents and it is fairly cheap compared to other media players.

A C Ryan Playon HD - May be very good but also biggest and noisiest. Fan is big -ve for it. That's what everyone says about it.

Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link Director HD - NO FULL HD Support

Asus OPlay HD2 Media Player - Download one torrent at a time.

Here is the final shortlist.

Xtreamer SideWinder - Its fanless & Silent but generates a lot of heat after a 2-hour movie use..

ASUS O!Play HDP-R1 - One Choice - Oh, Its support torrent via mod- check this out - moServices - sites.google.com/site/farvoice/about_en

Finally - Popcorn Hour A-110, This review took all my votes - Best Choice.

I have some good news and some bad news for u.

Good news - My friend bought a Play on ( with space to install a 2TB HDD) for 187 sing dollars last week at Simlim square in Singapore. Now, @ Rs. 36 a sing dollar, he got it for Rs.6732. Now isnt that a steal! He said that the play on mini would come for 140 dollars, which is Rs.5000. You must chk this out!
Bad news - U need a friend who is visiting Singapore :):)
 
Well add me to the list as well. My dealer is pushing me to buy an Asus HDP-R1, and I'm waiting for the Asus Mini.. coz I only want to view video files and the occasional audio files.

Should I invest in a HD player or buy the mini when it comes out. The TV is a Sony Bravia 40".

I am also shocked :) coz after lots of discussion had taken WDTV Live & tried my best to mod using BRAD but torrents never worked :( so sold it back.

Now back in search again. This time doing it properly so I dont regret :)

Thanks for your feedback. From all the reviews of Playon HD I found, 95 % says its biggest and noisiest. Fan in it is the main issue & people even change the fan inside to reduce the hissing noise. Any inputs on that ?
 
Ordered a ASUS O!Play HDP-R1 from ebay for Rs.4999. Will post my views once i get it. I was just looking for a something which plays all SD, 720p and 1080p content. Have a external HDD and 24/7 pc to download. I don't really care about torrent, wifi streaming, etc..
