hello all,

i got a WD red NAS drive (WD60EFRX) which spins up fine for a few seconds, spindle's in its right place, but it doesn't move onto the platters and the HDD seems to power down after initial few seconds. i connected it to available SATA port inside the PC as well as externally through USB from a casing too, but the drive doesnt get detected in explorer (windows), and HDD testing tools like HD sentinel, HT tune, WD data lifeguard diagnostics, seatools, all detect it but beyond the basic specs, they dont furnish any other details & the tests in them also finish too quickly, indicative of some drive-fault(?). do you think the drive could be revived? am not concerned with data-recovery but reusability. has anyone else faced a similar situation with any HDDs? what could be wrong? power-issue? (or, more power reqd? pls refer to the last ss attached). there're no signs of physical damage. pls suggest..

thanks.
