Setup help needed : ASUS A8v Deluxe

Guys, my cousin has moved abroad and also moved on to a mac, so i've inherited his PC (it had been lying unused for a year).

The config is as follows:

ASUS A8V Deluxe mobo
AMD Athlon 64 3800+
512mb x 3 RAM

The graphics card was fried, so I went ahead and bought a new one (BIG Nvidia GeForce 5500 256mb AGP).

I connected the card and turned on the computer for the first time, and encountered this screen:

Pressing TAB takes me to this screen, and it does not go any further:

Nothing happens when I press Del or F8.

I've tried booting with a windows bootable CD in the drive, and also with the graphics card bootable CD in the drive, but it still gets stuck at the same screen, does not go any further.

Any ideas on how to proceed will be appreciated. I'm kinda stuck here. Thanks guys !
 
you say the config has 512mb x 3 RAM whereas the BIOS post screen shows 1024Mb OK.

Also, can you enter Setup by pressing Del on the first screen ?
 
Two HDDs, removed and rebooted.

Reached the Windows setup screen now, at what point should I reconnect the HDDs ?
EDIT: The primary HDD was not getting detected, so removed it and put the slave as primary. Windows being installed now.
