The Micromax A115 canvas 3D is making wave on the net. Though Micromax has not yet officially announced it (still in the rumor phase) the A115 images have surfaced online. The specifications are also revealed.

The Canvas 3D as the name suggest will support 3D content. As per rumors the handset will come powered by Dual core MT6577 hardware with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It will run on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS over a 5 inch WVGA screen.

In addition there is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, not sure if it can click images in 3D mode. There is a 2MP front camera. The handset will support common features like 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB and 3.5mm jack.

The images were leaked via MMXNewscaster There is still no confirmation from Micromax if / when they would launch the A115 (the 3D canvas). There are very few 3D enabled handsets and this just reminded me about the Zopo ZP600 Libero 3D, if you look at the specs / images it closely resembles the Micromax A115. There is another handset called the Zopo ZP200 Shining +.

The Micromax A115 price? well let Micromax officially announce handset.

from one of the reviews I saw on YouTube the 3d is restricted to one of the main apps by micromax which is kind of a small os within android... also it was shown that 3d could be turned on and off

I have a HTC Evo 3D and I can confirm that its just a gimmick, which is why it wasn't included in any of the newer models.
