if it supports linux, it should support torrents also

This thing can run full fledged linux, Doom etc.

And it can run off the AA batteries.

And they will provide SD cards loaded with the distros.

And it might get a XBMC port.

And still, you guys ask "can" it download torrents?. :(

Yes it can run as download box, cloud server anything which linux can do.

The sale would be a worldwide launch not sure in india or not but confirming this from owners probably they will be showing the full packaged product on 2nd Jan.

Does MTS/REliance Netconnect usb internet software run properly on linux?

Also does Linus have something similar to Internet Connection Sharing in Windows?

Nonetheless, I'm also in for Model B.

Does it support windows? If not how can it play quake :S

From the FAQ:

Will it run WINE (or Windows, or other x86 software)?

No.

Nevertheless, great little device to have for $35. It would be interesting to see how much would be the landing cost including shipping and customs.

huh?

Doom was open sourced ages ago. Been ported to all kinds of platforms, ages ago as well.. I've seen videos of Doom running on calculators for that matter..
