OC & Modding Ram timings vs speed

what is better in terms of performance i know lower latency is better than speed but what should be appropriate balance...i have corsair xms 3 1333mhz that can run at 1440mhz(9-9-9-24)or 1080mhz(6-6-6-15)..so what according to you guys better...

wat timings do they do @ 1333? if you get like CL7 then that would be the sweet spot.

What platform are you running? If Sandy Bridge, it makes no difference.

It has been a long time since for regular applications timings and frequencies have stopped making real difference. But for benchmarks just like any other platform even on Sandy Bridge it makes a huge difference.

@OP, 1080Mhz is not even DDR3. Are you trying to compare DDR2 speeds with DDR3 which is what the timing and frequencies suggest. In that case basically with DDR3 because of architectural difference it would be better. Though wont suggest change in platform just to move from DDR2 to DDR3
