MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum non-SLI board

thermaltake purepower 480W SMPS (died)

Thermaltake Silent Purepower W0014RU 480W Power Supply - Retail at Newegg.com

His SMPS died and he needs a new one.

the 7900GT needs 20A on +12 rail.

Can anyone suggest a good SMPS available here which will be enough for the above mentioned rig?

AFAIK, he has only a single hdd and 1 optical drive.

How about a Zebronics 500W supply or the Zebronics SLI 600W SMPS with dual fans and LEDs? will it be enough?

How antec smartpower 350/400 W?

Thermaltake is the most useless PSU you can buy. Get an antec Smartpower 2.0 400W. If he doesn't have too many hard drives, it should be enough.

Dont look anything more than just Antec n CM, they are very good PSU makers. A Antec SP 2.0v 400watts would be ideal as Chaos recommended. But i would say u get atleast a 450Watts PSU say a Antec TP 2.0v 450/500watts, they can be had for around 4500-5000 easily..

yup, get it at the itdepot. pretty reliable. also they are the official antec distro in india, so you will not have any probs with warranty and stuff..

Lol they dont even make TP 450 and 500 W PSU's. Those are 480 and 550 :p
450/500 is SP only.

get the SP 400, should be a bit lower than 3.5k actually, look for a local Antec dealer, otherwise you'll have to get it from itdepot.
