Price of FZ18 in India

Have mailed them already, no replies yet. Called up a local camera seller here and he quoted 27.5k for the FZ18! This is just nuts, the S5is is available for around 19k with bill and FZ18 is in the same price bracket yet it is being offered at insane price.

Costs ~28k with bill at the showroom. Yeah i know, insane price!

I think Gannu got it from KMD for ~17k.. Check his thread.
 
I read Yogesh Sarkar, FZ 18 and I thought Yamaha is launching a new version of the R-15 :(

Am so disappointed to see it's just a silly camera.

Yup thats the quote I got from JJMehta as well, insane considering they are selling D40 for 24.5k! Got a quote from KMD as well and its quite reasonable, however it won't have warranty, something which might come in handy considering the kind of condition my cameras go through.

Seriously thinking of buying a chepo P&S and buying a DSLR at a later stage.

I know about that. Given the power ratings for the R-15, I am not too excited about that. So, you need a camera for all your long bike rides ehh :p ?
