I am in the market for a portable (2.5") HDD with a USB3.
Capacity: 500 GB (unless 1TB is a far better VFM option)
Budget: What ever is reasonable
I want to buy the cheapest possible disc out there - but if a few hundred fetches a better performance I would consider it.
Interface: USB3.0 with no external power required
Usage: Simple stuff like storing of work data, photos and documents. At the most SD movie playback. I need it to withstand a few knicks and rough handling though. It will be carted around a lot - so id prefer if it did not have a glossy case (not a big deal though) .
