Try to increase budget to 88k and take Ati 5870 (The fastest graphics card around and it is DX11).
Or else stick to 80 k but do take nothing less than Ati 5850 at such a budget

Thanks guys for the suggestions...If i had to choose between a motherboard having the X58 chipset or the P55 chipset, which one should i choose? Also, between Nvidia 260GTX and Ati 5770 which one would you suggest?

Of course the ATI 5770, or wait;) for 300 series.

IMHO this is well balanced for features, power, usage - for HD movies especially but high end gaming:no:.

Dude this rig you gonna use for downloads.

80K is a big amount, wait for more replies plzz and do not haste take over.

# Gaming

# Browsing

# Desktop Processing

# HTPC

# Download rig, 24x7 operation

# Watching HD movies

Well i think an all in one rig will be waste. If you really need a 24x7 downloading machine then make a headless setup and with the rest of the money buy your gaming rig.

Between i5 and i7 i think i7 setup will cost more as you will have to go for tri channell memory rather than dual channel as in case of i5

crucial ram from where ?

on a serious note, u might want to -pause- things a bit and do some thinking.....80k is a big amount and if spent the right way ( too many permutation - combination's possible here)...Also how soon do u expect this thing to get upgrades ? with the rate at which new things are coming out these days , this elite setup will have dated stuff in the months to come.

If i were u sitting with 80k i would-

-for download operations make a headless atom and leave it aside on secure wireless.

-make a htpc only for movie rendering and freaking buy a elcheapo vu hd tv (if u already own a lcd tv - viola)

and

-make a 3rd system for rest of the needs and then upgrade the same as and when needed.

Again, thats just my outlook. might end up spending 10-12k more but then that would be totally worth it IMO.

Edit : just read thru and saw u have no intentions to upgrade in the future , again do give a thought at that.

going way OT but if i had 80k, i would get out there and buy a new bike :p

Well IF you are open to laptops as well do check my post here.

My friend just bought a lappy similar to your specs for 80k from Dell.

That's really a good suggestion. :)

went to SP road today..all shops were closed as it was Rajyotsava...anyway to clear up a few misconceptions..

This is for my friend and not for me...

I have a PS3, so no more investing on high end gaming setups :)

He's mostly going to be using it for gaming but may also occasionally download a bit..This is definitely not going to be used 24*7.

He already has a Sony Vaio W series or something, so laptops are definitely out of the question.

go for a core i5, slightly cheaper mobo, 550-650W psu, and a better graphics card.

sorry for not being more specific, i'm out of the loop :)
