Hi,
I've been programming all sorts of DIP e/eeproms for well over a decade
with barely an issue but now I'm needing to do some simple 27C256 PLCC32
chips and I can't get them to write no matter what I try. (I CAN read them
fine, however). I've blank-checked the chips, made sure the proper device
type is selected, etc. but it just isn't writing. And this is with 2 different
programmers, mind you.
Here's what I'm using:
a 32k binary file
Willem Parallel programmer
or
Modular Circuit Technology Mod Emup-A
28-32 pin PLCC adapter
Blanks:
Microchip 27C256 -12/L (this store was out of 70n chips)
Atmel 27C256R -70JU
Unless there's some fundamental setup change I'm unaware of
when switching from DIP to PLCC chips, I'm stumped.
