I recommended the Pixel 7a to someone who wanted to move on from OnePlus and now I can't get the complaints on overheating and battery life to stop. It seems hazardous to even suggest the 7a to anyone.

Love this trend. Talking of things 2 years ahead. What about the devices existing and in use right now? For those you ask pretty penny? 7 years running and Pixels are still plagued by battery issues, overheating, and weak modem. Really wish Google didn't bring their version of HDR, sole reason to stick with Pixels.

This probably has to do with critical security issues plagued with Exynos/tensor chips. (related to VoLTE and VoWiFi) Samsung is taking too long to fix them. It's probably also why S23 didn't have exynos this year. Samsung may will introduce exynos back into flagship phones in 2024 if they could fix the issues.
