PC Peripherals PC working dead slow after power failure

Parv

Adept
My PC was not on UPS, when the house electricity failed.

Now it's taking hell lot of time for booting, it's seriously unusable now.

What can be the possible problem?

OS: windows 7
psu: corsair vx450

Thanks

Seems like your harddrive has taken a hit. Download HD Tune and run a Benchmark and Error Test to confirm this.

Try Hirens Boot Disc. Preferably older versions as the newer versions are severely cut down lacking a lot of softwares.

Power failures are big problem in India......my UPS blew (was a cheap microtek)....... I would suggest try disassembling your rig and reconnect everything back after it and then a clean install , preferably from a bootable USB pendrive.
