Its not too good. The resolution and refresh rates are below par. Look for either a better 19" such as the Samsung Syncmaster 997 DF or Viewsonic G96 or else its better to go for a good 17" monitor. I dont think this monitor is worth it excpet if you want it for the size alone.

Considering your suggestion, with the help of a friend in another forum, I found Samsung SyncMaster 997MB is a better choice with a little extra money.
 
Try getting a Viewsonic G-series 19" model, has amazing refresh rates and resolution support, along with spectacular image quality. A tad bit expensive but completely worth it.

I never considered Philips having good monitors and never seen one even in Cyber cafes. So thank you for the new information.

Viewsonic offcourse offers good quality monitors; but isn't it slightly overpriced considering the quality?
 
i have a flat viewsonic E90f+ 19'' monitor for sale.. one year old... 2 years warrenty left... let me know if ur interested.... just a thought of updating u since ur planning to buy.
