Not Able to Download Large Files from FileSharing Sites

Hi Guys,

I have a BSNL 2MBPS Connection and my problem is whenever I try to download files in excess of 500 MB from File Sharing Sites like Fileserve etc., I find that my connection has been interrupted in Google Chrome Download Page.

I don't know why does this happen most of the time. Moreover, for past one month I am not able to check my usage on data.bsnl.in, I get this error:

Have you tried using download managers? Did you contact your telephone exchange?

check the snr margin. suspect it's an unstable connection.

@benryu: I didn't use any Download manager or contacted the Telephone Exchange.

@JPL: How to check the SNR Margin as I think its an unstable connection

type 192.168.1.1 in the browser adress bar, enter username as admin and password as password. in this router menu you should be able to see the snr margin in one of the tabs. see what the margins snr margin, should ideally be above 20.

@JPL: My Router is WNR 2000 and it is connected with a Type-I BSNL Modem.

I think its your ISP thats preventing you from downloading huge files

The same thing happened to me with MTNL but it kinda got sorted automatically....

Try and contact your ISP

Under Router Status --> Statistics, this is what I got:

@Yash, It is not that I am not able to download huge files, its just that most of the times it gets interrupted...

Start using jDownloader It is the most kickass software for downloading files from file sharing websites.

PS It requires JRE pre-installed on your computer.
